Louisdale is located on Cape Breton Island along Rt-104 in southeast Nova Scotia, approx. 25 km east of Port Hawkesbury and approx. 290 km northeast of Halifax. From Halifax: Rt-118 north approx. 16 km to Rt-102 North (toward airport). Proceed north on Rt-102 approx. 74 km to Rt-104 (Trans Canada) East. Proceed east (toward Cape Breton) on Rt-104 approx. 168 km to roundabout (just across the Strait of Canso). Follow the 1st exit from the roundabout (rotary) and proceed southeast on Secondary Rt-4 approx. 8 km to Rt-104 East. Proceed east on Rt-104 approx. 21 km to Rt-320 (exit 46). Turn right on the Louisdale Connector (Rt-320) and proceed south approx. 0.6 km to 1st road. Turn left (still Rt-320) and proceed east approx. 1.5 km to Louisdale.
