Whycocomagh is located at the intersection of the Trans Canada Highway and Rt-395 near the centre of Cape Breton Island in eastern Nova Scotia, approx. 310 km northeast of Halifax. From Halifax: Rt-118 north approx. 16 km to Rt-102 North (toward airport). Proceed north on Rt-102 approx. 74 km to Rt-104 (Trans Canada) East. Proceed east (toward Cape Breton) on Rt-104 approx. 168 km to roundabout (just across the Strait of Canso). Follow the Trans Canada East (Hwy-105) approx. 50 km to Whycocomagh.
