Lakes Area Hockey School will be visiting the Gladwin Community Arena during Christmas break. It offers 6 hours of on-ice instruction and 3 hours of off-ice classroom instruction. Emphasis is placed on Powerskating and Hockey skills (shooting, passing and puck control). Registrations are being accepted for Squirts through Midgets.

Arena Fitness Center offers a spacious, upscale atmosphere with an unusually complete assemblage of the world's finest and most state-of-the-art equipment. Large, modern as well as clean locker rooms will give members a chance to freshen up after a vigorous workout. Program offerings will include step aerobics, cardio kickboxing, nutrition and fitness classes, "Cooking to be fit" classes, private personal training by certified instructors, and tanning.The Arena Fitness Center is now enrolling members. Welcome to the Gladwin Skating Club. We have divided the program into several comprehensive levels, based on the United States Figure Skating Association Skate with U.S. Program guidelines and standards. Instructors will conduct classes in a positive atmosphere, providing quality instruction for potential figure skaters and hockey players of all ages.

Gladwin Area Hockey Association offers 6 age divisions for youth from 5-18. The program entails 19 weeks of practices (two/week) as well as games against neighboring indoor teams and tournaments. The program first and foremost promotes hockey as an activity played for FUN! Players learn sportsmanship, team play and discipline in a relaxed setting amongst parent coaches and local support. The Gladwin Community Arena will offer its first ever Adult Hockey League. It will host 2 divisions (Experienced and Beginner). The season begins 1/2/2000 and runs through April. Registration deadline is December 7, 1999 and teams will be drafted the following week. Both divisions are non-checking and full equipment is required.
