Nelson is located in the Selkirk Mountains, at the intersection of Hwy-6 and Hwy-3A in southeast British Columbia, approx. 50 km north of the Washington state line and approx. 650 km east of Vancouver.
From Vancouver: Hwy-1 (Trans Canada) east approx. 142 km to Hwy-3 East (Crowsnest Highway). Proceed east on Hwy-3 (Crowsnest Hwy.) approx. 460 km to Hwy-3A (immediately after crossing the river in Castlegar). Follow Hwy-3A ramp toward Nelson and proceed east approx. 40 km to the Hwy-3A Nelson/City Centre exit in Nelson. Follow Rt-3A (becomes Vernon St.) approx. 1 km to intersection of Rt-3A and Ward Street. Continue straight on Vernon St. approx. 3 blocks to arena on the left.
From Spokane: US-2 north approx. 47 miles to Walnut St. in Newport. Turn left on Walnut St. (becomes Rt-20) and proceed north approx. 46 miles to Rt-31 in Tiger. Continue north on Rt-31 approx. 27 miles to the Canadian border. Continue north on Hwy-6 approx. 6.5 miles to Hwy-3/Hwy-6. Turn left on Hwy-3/Hwy-6 and proceed approx. 8.75 miles to Hwy-6 North. Turn right on Hwy-6 and proceed north approx. 26 miles into Nelson. In Nelson, follow Rt-3A (becomes Vernon St.) approx. 1 km to intersection of Rt-3A and Ward Street. Continue straight on Vernon St. approx. 3 blocks to arena on the left.
